Expanding foam is an essential tool for anyone involved in a construction project. It can be used to fill cavities and joints quickly and effectively. Expanding foam is very easy to use and provides a professional finish to new builds and remodelling projects.

Oils and dirt can reduce the adhesiveness of and cause it to ‘pull away’ slightly when it has dried. This will reduce the effectiveness of the insulation and sound proofing. It is also a good idea if you are working in the home to lay down some protective sheeting over floors and furnishings.
Once you have prepared the area are working on then you simply apply the foam into the cavity, gap or hole you want filled. This will expand at a ratio of around 8 to 1. Fill the hole slowly so that you can judge the expansion rate more effectively. This will prevent you from wasting foam or not applying enough.
Health and Safety
It will stick to your skin and hair and is difficult to remove so you should wear gloves and protective clothing (including a hat) when using this product. Also contains a number of chemicals which can become air born when you are applying the product. These can cause inhalation irritation so when you are using it is a good idea to wear a ventilated mask. To help disperse air born chemicals you should also open windows and doors in the space you are working in if possible.
